At the forefront of European HPC and AI development
LUMI AI Factory consortium
The LUMI AI Factory brings together a consortium formed by six countries: Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Norway, and Poland, all of which are also part of the LUMI consortium. These six countries are at the forefront of European HPC and AI developments. The LUMI AI Factory will build upon the groundwork laid by countries joining this consortium in creating their national AI ecosystems, developing their national strategies, and aligning with the EU Coordinated Plan on AI, thereby strengthening stakeholder engagement and fostering a thriving AI ecosystem that benefits society and drives competitiveness.
Finland
LUMI AI Factory is hosted by CSC – IT Center for Science, which also coordinates the LUMI AI Factory consortium. CSC is a non-profit limited liability company with a special mission, owned by the Finnish Government and Finnish higher education institutions. The tools CSC provides for scientific computing and data management create a stepping stone for breakthroughs.
Other Finnish partners include Aalto University, the University of Helsinki and AI Finland.
