Step into the AI Factory Hubs where ideas, people, and our world-class resources come together.

A core part of the LUMI AI Factory community are our AI Factory Hubs – vibrant spaces where students, researchers, and companies learn, connect, and turn ideas into real solutions.The idea is simple: make high-performance computing, AI expertise, and community support easier to access where innovation already happens. The hubs are homes for AI communities, offering space for events, day-to-day work, and hands-on collaboration.

Our main hub was opened on Aalto University’s Otaniemi campus in December 2025. From there, we’re building a network of hubs on other campuses across our partner countries, and in the beginning of 2026 we will launch a virtual hub to bring the community together online. Our vision is to offer you more flexible ways to collaborate with peers, connect with experts, and take part in events, and training – regardless of where you are.

Who are the hubs for?

AI Factory Hubs are for everyone who wants to explore, learn, and apply AI and HPC in practice:

Students – whether you’re starting your bachelor’s, deep in your PhD, or anywhere in between, the hubs give you access to tools, training, and a community to grow your skills.
Researchers and academic staff – strengthen your projects with advanced computing power and expert support.
Startups and companies – from small teams to large enterprises, test and scale your AI ideas with world-class resources.
Government organisations and public sector – turn data into evidence-based solutions that benefit society.

Do you want to host your own event in the hub?

We warmly invite companies, student organizations, and research groups to host events with us. Whether it’s a workshop, seminar, hackathon, meet-and-greet, or a completely new concept, we’re excited to explore creative ideas and develop them together. Contact us

This code applies to all AI Factory Hub activities and spaces, both physical and virtual. Its goal is to create a safe, inclusive, and collaborative environment for learning, research, and innovation. Compliance with this code ensures that all hub activities—from training and workshops to co-working and online collaboration—support the hub’s mission and success.

The code covers all hub facilities and events, online platforms and communities, interactions between community members and use of computational resources and AI tools.

Core principles

Respect, inclusion, and openness for all participants.
Zero tolerance for harassment or discrimination.
Transparency and fair recognition of contributions.
Responsible and safe use of AI technologies.

Expected behaviours

Community members are expected to maintain a constructive, respectful, and collaborative environment by:

Communicating respectfully and giving space for others to contribute.
Crediting authors, sources, datasets, and models appropriately.
Criticising ideas, not individuals.
Following data protection rules and licensing agreements.
Supporting newcomers and peers in their learning journey.
Sharing knowledge while respecting confidentiality.
Using resources efficiently and fairly.
Reporting concerns or technical issues promptly (“See something → say something”).

Unacceptable behaviours

Examples of behaviours that will not be tolerated:

Harassment, sexist/racist/condescending language, threats.
Unwanted contact, stalking, or deliberate disruption of events.
Spreading harmful content (misinformation, malware).
Misuse of system access or data (HPC resources, internal repositories).
Violation of academic integrity or research ethics.

AI-specific guidelines

Do not process personal or sensitive data without authorization and a legal basis.
Label synthetic content and cite the model/tool used.
Do not present model outputs as facts without verification; acknowledge limitations.
Respect dataset/model licenses and intellectual property terms.• Document methods and be transparent about AI use in research.
