AITO webinar – How is artificial intelligence changing research, education, and innovation?
Event details
Location: Online
Date: 2.10.2025
Time: 12:00 – 13:30 EEST
Language: Finnish
We will host two identical webinars this autumn on artificial intelligence targeting specialists from universities and other CSC customer organizations.
The webinar dates are 2 October 2 2025 and 25 November 25 2025, and they are free of charge.
The webinars introduce the AITO framework (AITO stands for AI tutkimuksessa ja opetuksessa, AI in research and education), and utilise it to examine how artificial intelligence will impact research, education, innovation, and support functions. The webinar links the framework to everyday activities through practical case examples and discusses what the changes brought about by artificial intelligence will mean. The content is similar in both webinars, so you can choose the one that best suits your schedule.
Objective
The objective is to provide participants with the tools and skills to recognise the changes brought about by artificial intelligence, a better understanding of the opportunities created by artificial intelligence, and how to use the AITO framework. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of how artificial intelligence impacts education, research, support functions, collaboration with partners, and RDI activities, among other areas.
We will explore the potential for change brought about by artificial intelligence using the AITO framework. We will go through how the AITO framework can be used to structure the overall change brought about by artificial intelligence. Through inspiring practical case examples, we will examine how the AITO framework can be applied in practice. Through the AITO framework and examples, participants can consider what artificial intelligence means today, what it may mean in the future, in their own work, in their own higher education institution, and in their own field.
Contents
- The impact of artificial intelligence on higher education – an examination using the AITO framework
- Practical case examples from the perspective of education and research
- Artificial intelligence in information management and forecasting
- LUMI AI Factory
- Facilitated discussion
Results
Through the AITO framework, examples, and joint discussion, participants can reflect on what artificial intelligence means today, what it may mean in the future, in their own work, at their their own higher education institution, and in their own field. The aim is to equip participants with the skills to recognize changes driven by artificial intelligence, foster a deeper understanding of the opportunities created by artificial intelligence, and learn how to utilize the AITO framework.
