Bridge quantum computing with AI supercomputing

Quantum services

LUMI AI Factory’s Quantum services are your entry point to LUMI-IQ, the AI Factory’s quantum computing platform, where quantum computing sits next to Europe’s leading AI supercomputing environment. LUMI-IQ will be an advanced quantum computer incorporating state-of-the-art quantum error correction. To be deployed in 2027 with an initial 150 qubits, it will be upgraded over the following years. The upgrades increase the number and quality of qubits, as well as the quantum error-correction performance, as the platform matures toward an early fault-tolerant system.

The category brings together complementary services: powerful hybrid HPC, AI and quantum computing infrastructure, and the expert support to put it to use.

Computing resources give you access to hybrid quantum and HPC resources, which today includes the LUMI supercomputer and the VLQ quantum computer (part of the EuroHPC ecosystem), and, as they come online, the LUMI-AI supercomputer and the LUMI-IQ platform. These resources open up applications across fields such as simulation of quantum systems themselves, relevant for materials and molecular sciences such as health and life sciences, manufacturing, and communication technology, where quantum-enhanced approaches can tackle problems beyond the reach of classical computing alone. The platform equally supports development of the classical software such workflows depend on, from compilers to error mitigation, circuit simulators, and AI methods for circuit optimization.
Expert support connects you with specialists on quantum, HPC, and AI for consulting, guidance, training, and hands-on help getting your problem from an idea to practical implementation.
