Finnish companies can get quick and easy access to LUMI to learn how to operate a supercomputer and to test drive your AI project with our support. No need to report results, easy to continue development work with our competently priced resources.

Service features

With Try&Buy, you do not need to fill applications for computing resources or write public reports of the results. If you are a Finnish company with an AI project, you can quickly evaluate its feasibility for a supercomputer environment. In case you need any help in accessing LUMI, setting up your project or running it, we will provide you with instructions and support.

A test project includes:

  • LUMI project and credentials for two users for three months
  • Computing and storage resources:
    • 10.000 CPU hours 
    • 1.000 GPU hours 
    • 10.000 TiB units
  • LUMI instructions & documentation
  • One day of expert support

After testing your project, you will

  • know how to operate in the supercomputer environment
  • know if your idea, algorithm, data etc. would benefit from further LUMI AI Factory services
  • be ready for more!

You can continue development work by paying only for the resources you need. You can also apply for free-of-charge computing resources through our other services. If you already achieved what you wanted with the test phase, you are free to leave with your results.

You can also use our training services if needed, or our Trustworthy AI services to evaluate your idea or data.

Access/Output Requirements

  • LUMI AI Factory customer manager will meet with you to prepare the required documentation. You will gain access to LUMI within few working days.
  • You must:
    • have a Finnish company identity number
    • comply with trade sanctions check, export limitations and other requirements such as dual use restrictions
  • You do not need to publish any information or results of your test project, as you would in EU-based computing services. This is a plus if you want to protect your revolutionary AI idea.
  • This service is currently available to Finnish companies only.
