This workshop is held as part of the AI Month initiative under the Czech Association of Artificial Intelligence (ČAUI). It will offer various perspectives on the implementation and use of artificial intelligence models in industry, highlighting their benefits as well as the associated risks.

What can you expect from the workshop?

  • AI from multiple perspectives – From the computing power of supercomputers and the development of AI models in a startup environment to their application in traditional industry and the related risks.
  • A critical view on AI adoption – Alongside the benefits of artificial intelligence, we will address issues such as the loss of internal competencies, vendor lock-in, and other less obvious risks.
  • Concrete practical experience – Learn how data preparation and the deployment of custom AI models actually work. Rather than theoretical concepts, we offer hands-on experience.
  • Networking as part of AI Month – An opportunity to meet experts and fellow AI enthusiasts during this event held under the auspices of the Czech Association of Artificial Intelligence.

Speakers

  • A Researcher’s Perspective: Tomáš Martinovič, IT4Innovations National Supercomputing Centre – Training and fine-tuning custom models on supercomputers using an AI App built on the LEXIS platform.
  • A Business Perspective: Stanislav Krejčí, Vectorama – AI models in the construction industry, preparing and adopting custom models.
  • A Risk Perspective: Jiří Šlachta (Senior Software Engineer) – Can we still manage without AI? What can go wrong, even when it seems to work at first glance.
  • A Startup Perspective: Jakub Szlaur, Edmund AI (Co-founder & CEO) – Will AI fix your production line? Where hype meets reality.
